Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mark Doze (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Luke Cage (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Doze comes to the cage accompanied by "Don't Trust Me" by 3Oh!3. Mark Doze looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Mark Doze! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Luke Cage! The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Paulo Santos and Seu Braga.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Doze fails miserably with a takedown attempt. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Doze. Doze misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mark Doze. That's going to take a lot out of him. Cage misses with a looping right. Doze closes this distance looking for a takedown but Cage circles away. Doze fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Mark Doze seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Doze is breathing heavily. Cage goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Doze looks frusrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Cage fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Doze sprawls well initially but Cage persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Cage is trying to control the action in half guard but Doze is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Cage stands up out of the half guard. Cage scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Doze doesn't seem bothered though. Doze avoids a punch combination nicely.
Cage swats away the attempt to clinch by Doze. Cage scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Doze doesn't succeed with the takedown letting Cage counter with a right hand.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cage throws the kick towards the body but Doze avoids it. Cage throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Cage shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Cage get's back to his feet. Cage gets the takedown into side control. Cage decides to stand back up. Doze moves into range and clinches up with Cage. Cage wants to get back to striking at distance but Doze won't allow it.
Doze breaks from the clinch.

A punch combination from Cage misses. Cage tries to keep at a distance but Doze has taken the fight into the clinch. Cage can't break the clinch.
Cage wants a takedown.
Doze tries for a takedown but Cage manages to get underhooks.
Doze misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Cage.
Doze escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Cage fails with a takedown attempt. Doze fails to land the takedown. Cage fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Doze, pushing him back against the cage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cage drops down looking for an ankle pick but Doze pulls his leg out and moves away.
Doze shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Doze was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Cage is looking to improve his position but Doze isn't that keen on the idea. Doze with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Cage is squirming around, avoiding Doze's attempts to control the action. Cage can't escape the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Cage regains half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Doze wants to lay and pray for a moment but Cage keeps working. Cage holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cage is looking to escape. Doze uses his free foot to push down on Cage's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Cage. Cage really wants to buck Doze off and get back to his feet. Cage is trying desperately to improve position. Doze trying to control but Cage is having none of it. Cage wants to control but Doze is having none of it. Cage is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.

That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Doze misses with a takedown and Cage holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Cage breaks from the clinch.
Cage tries to bum rush Doze with a series of wild strikes but Doze uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Doze with a poor takedown and Cage counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Come on Doze - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.

Doze is working for takedown but Cage is calmly controlling the position for now. Doze has Cage pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Cage manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Come on Doze - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.

Cage wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Doze has him pressed against the cage. Doze lands a damaging elbow. Cage tries to break the clinch but Doze is controlling the position. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Cage is trying to break free. Doze tries to pull guard but Cage holds him up against the cage and eventually Doze drops back down to his feet.

Luke Cage dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Cage keeps the fight on the outside. Cage swats away the attempt to clinch by Doze. Doze clinches up against the cage. Doze drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Doze shoots in but no luck this time. Doze throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Cage's waist but Doze gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Doze off to one side. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mark Doze. That's going to take a lot out of him. Cage changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Doze looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Cage working the head with strikes. Doze is looking to reverse the position. Cage has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Cage looks to land a left hand but Doze moved out of range nicely. Cage misses with the combination.
Cage doesn't succeed with the takedown and Doze counters with a single leg into guard. Cage didn't expect that. Cage controls Doze momentarily but Doze frees himself. Doze trying to control but Cage is working from the bottom. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Doze passes easily into side control. Nice work. Doze decides to stand back up. Cage clinches up against the cage. Doze wants a takedown but no success here.

Doze avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Cage swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Cage is landing with some decent strikes but Doze is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Doze swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing. Doze working to try and regain half guard.
Luke Cage has got the better of the ground game so far. Cage fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

This has been an exciting period of action! Doze tries to buck Cage off but Cage is having none of it. Doze wants to control but Cage postures up. Doze prevents Cage from improving position. Cage wants to stand but Doze has his arm trapped. You can see the frustration on Doze's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Cage trying to control the position but Doze is working away.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Doze misses with a takedown attempt and Cage counters with a shoot takedown. Doze fights it but they end up in guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Luke Cage showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. And we move into the final round!

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Doze can do anything to dispel that myth. Doze is stalling in the full guard.

Doze fails with the takedown and Cage counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Cage. Cage pulls guard. Doze trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Cage looking to hit a scissor sweep but Doze is one step ahead there. Cage is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Cage wants to get back to his feet but Doze is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Cage trying to control the position here. Cage can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Doze controls the pace.

Cage controlling from mount. Doze tries to lock up and control but Cage gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Cage controlling his opponent. Cage punishing his opponent with strikes. Mark Doze has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

It looks like Mark Doze has been cut. Doze is looking to improve his position but Cage isn't that keen on the idea.
And that's the end of the fight! Luke Cage comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Cage has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
