Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
21 - 18 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Shadow Deathgrip! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Lee Wang! The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Wagner Zegers and Patrick Alders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A head kick misses from Wang. Deathgrip seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym. Wang tries a head kick but it misses.
Wang closes the distance and clinches. Wang's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Wang tries to clinch up. Lee Wang seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Wang tries to close the distance and clinch up but Deathgrip swats him away and circles back towards the center. Deathgrip keeps the fight on the outside. Wang goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Deathgrip shoots in for a double leg but Wang sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Wang throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Wang misses with a wild body shot. Deathgrip checks a low kick from Wang. Wang will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Deathgrip avoids a low kick by using good footwork. Wang moves to clinch but Deathgrip breaks away and Deathgrip counters with a thumping low kick. Wang has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Deathgrip really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Wang is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Deathgrip blocks a low kick nicely. Wang tries to clinch but Deathgrip moves out of range. Wang displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Deathgrip. Deathgrip jabs Wang to the body, keeping him at a distance. Deathgrip clinches with his opponent.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The fight stays on the outside here - Wang looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Deathgrip dives in and scores a takedown into Wang's guard. Wang has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Deathgrip is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Wang. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Deathgrip trying to control the position but Wang is working away. Lee Wang is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Wang is trying to get back to his feet. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Deathgrip in side control, throwing shots but Wang defends.
