Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Aed Collins! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
25 - 43 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Roger Schwarzeneg! The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Aafke Stam and Paulsen Ambrosius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Collins ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Schwarzeneg moves away. Collins throws a left and a right that both miss
and Schwarzeneg counters with a nice double leg into side control. Collins won't be happy with that. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Collins is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Collins is trying to get back to full guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Collins gets full guard. Collins is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Schwarzeneg's corner is telling him to maintain position. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Schwarzeneg accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Schwarzeneg trying to control the position from guard on top but Collins is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Schwarzeneg is looking to work some ground and pound but Collins has wrist control. Collins not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Collins wants to sweep here but Schwarzeneg controlling him for the moment. Collins throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Schwarzeneg escapes and throws Collins's legs to the side, diving into side control!
That's one minute gone in the round. Schwarzeneg working away. The referee asks Schwarzeneg politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Schwarzeneg prefers to stall for the moment though. Collins tries to bench press Schwarzeneg off him but Schwarzeneg keeps the position. Collins's coaches at Mano`s Elite BJJ Gym have been working on his defensive grappling in preparation for this fight so let's see if he can get out of this tricky position. Schwarzeneg looking to control but instead Collins has slipped a leg in, to regain half guard. Nice strikes from Schwarzeneg there. Collins won't allow Schwarzeneg to pass to mount. Schwarzeneg seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Collins does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Schwarzeneg is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Collins has managed to free his arm - good work. Collins wants to control but Schwarzeneg is keeping busy and won't allow it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Schwarzeneg wants to stand but Collins has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now. The fighters are battling for position here. Collins manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Schwarzeneg throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Collins works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Schwarzeneg throws a big elbow that misses. Collins will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Collins tries to land a sweep but no joy. Collins trying to keep a closed guard but Schwarzeneg is proving a slippery customer.
Schwarzeneg working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Schwarzeneg with a nice head shot there. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Schwarzeneg pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Collins is keeping the position for now. Collins looking for a triangle here. Schwarzeneg is fighting it but it looks tight! Collins pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Schwarzeneg is tapping out - this one is all over!

A very excited looking Aed Collins made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
