Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Craig Steelo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Johnnycakes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Johnnycakes has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Steelo moves into range and clinches up with Johnnycakes.
Steelo on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Johnnycakes keeps control of Steelo as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Johnnycakes should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Steelo tightens his grip and picks Johnnycakes up, before dumping him to the ground. Johnnycakes manages to land in guard.
Steelo looking to pass the guard.
Steelo postures up.
Johnnycakes tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Johnnycakes wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Steelo is now in half guard.
Johnnycakes wants to improve his position but Steelo is controlling well.
Johnnycakes looks gassed!
Johnnycakes is refusing to be controlled, as Steelo sits in half guard.
Steelo slips a nice elbow through Johnnycakes's hands, connecting with Johnnycakes's forehead.
Steelo is just content to waste time from the top position. Johnnycakes takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
Steelo would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Steelo stands up and waves to Johnnycakes to follow him.

Johnnycakes wants to clinch but Steelo slips to the side
and Steelo counters by moving into the clinch.
Steelo wants to break the clinch but can't.
A bit of stalling here from Steelo.
Johnnycakes tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Johnnycakes is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
Johnnycakes missing with knees to the body.
Steelo breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Johnnycakes tries to keep at a distance but Steelo has taken the fight into the clinch.
Steelo breaks the clinch.
Steelo closes the distance and clinches.
Johnnycakes tries for a takedown but Steelo manages to get underhooks.
Steelo escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Steelo tries to bum rush Johnnycakes with a series of wild strikes but Johnnycakes uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Steelo shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Johnnycakes's guard.
Steelo pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Johnnycakes is keeping the position for now.
Steelo wanted to stand there but Johnnycakes had control of the position.

Steelo gets to his feet. Johnnycakes looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Steelo has Johnnycakes up against the cage in a clinch.
Steelo jumps into guard, dragging Johnnycakes to the mat.
Steelo utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Steelo uses the cage to get back to his feet.

Johnnycakes tries to stall but Steelo uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Johnnycakes looking to throw knees to the head but Steelo is blocking nicely.
Steelo wants to stall.

Johnnycakes tries to pull guard but Steelo won't allow it.
Craig Steelo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John Johnnycakes.
Steelo breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Steelo finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Steelo dances in with a quick combination. Johnnycakes is being worked over with jabs and crosses. Oooh, a right straight from Steelo snaps Johnnycakes's head back. Johnnycakes stumbles backwards against the cage. Steelo steps forward and delivers a right cross that connects with Johnnycakes's jaw, simultaneously knocking him out and sending his mouthpiece into the crowd! There's a worthy souvenir for the fans. This one is over folks. Johnnycakes just didn't come prepared.
