Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Junior Jawo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mateus Mettler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Mateus Mettler!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Taro Takaoka and Yuuki Gou.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jawo shoots in looking for a takedown. Mettler tries to sprawl out of it but Jawo keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Mettler manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Mettler drives through with a takedown into guard.
Jawo had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Mettler defends it easily.
Jawo escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Mettler gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Mettler is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Jawo is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Jawo throws his legs up looking for a submission but Mettler uses it to pass to side control.

Mettler is looking to advance position but Jawo won't allow it.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Mettler working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.
