Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
25 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Dan Jersey! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
24 - 19 - 3, fighting out of Amsterdam, Julius Steel! The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Steven Brown and James Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Steel missing with a left hand there. Jersey was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Jersey ducks under a wild hook from Steel. Steel throws out a leg kick but Jersey moves out of range and Steel only half commits. Jersey closes this distance looking for a takedown but Steel circles away. Steel misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Jersey slips under a jab from Steel. Steel takes one to the chin there. Julius Steel seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Steel misses with a hook. Steel throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Steel looks to land a combination but Jersey avoids it well. Steel lands with a cross. Jersey fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Steel. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Steel. Jersey uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Steel. Jersey fails with a takedown attempt. Jersey keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Steel.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jersey ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Steel moves away. Steel is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Jersey. Steel lands with an overhand left. Steel connects with a body shot that sends Jersey's belly button to the back. Steel scores with a jab. Steel throws a leg kick and Jersey counters with a body kick that stops Steel in his tracks momentarily. Steel moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Jersey. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dan Jersey. That's going to take a lot out of him. Jersey will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Jersey shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Jersey showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Steel.
Jersey scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Julius Steel is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Steel thows a left - swing and a miss! Jersey's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Steel connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Jersey scrambles back to his feet. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Jersey.
A telegraphed right hand from Steel misses the target. Steel drops his hands momentarily and Jersey takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Steel takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Nice uppercut there from Jersey. Steel misses with a lunging right hand
and Jersey counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Steel thinking. Steel misses with a straight left. Jersey lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. Steel tries to bum rush Jersey with a series of wild strikes but Jersey uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Steel throws a combination that misses and Jersey counters with a leg kick. Jersey ducks under a wild hook from Steel. Jersey throws a low kick but Steel avoids it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A punch combination from Steel misses. Steel connects with a single shot there. Steel swinging wildly here.
Steel throws a shot from downtown. Jersey moves away and avoids it. A jab from Steel misses. Steel looks to throw the jab but Jersey is out of range. Steel throws an overhand right that lands on Jersey's shoulder, as Jersey tries to avoid the shot. Steel misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Steel misses with a left hand and Jersey makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. Jersey closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Steel quickly recovers to half guard. Jersey is nestled in close to Steel, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Jersey throwing shots but Steel is blocking nicely. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Steel can do anything to dispel that myth. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Jersey lands a nice short elbow. Jersey seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Jersey missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Jersey not landing any meaningful shots this time. Jersey looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Jersey working the head and body with strikes. Jersey trying to control from half guard but Steel is working away. Steel wants to improve his position but Jersey is controlling well.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Jersey thows a huge punch but Steel dodges it nicely.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A punch lands to the side of Jersey 's head but he takes it in his stride. Steel slips under a jab. Steel misses with a double jab.
Jersey shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Steel is trying to defend but Jersey finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Jersey not landing any meaningful shots this time. Jersey works his foot free and advances to mount. Steel is desperately trying to improve his position but Jersey has a good base and remains in mount. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Jersey controlling the position easily from mount. Jersey breaks from Steel's wrist control and lands an elbow.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jersey working away from the top, dropping strikes. Jersey putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! Jersey scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Steel?
Jersey looking to finish Steel with some ground and pound. This is bad for Steel! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Jersey tries to control but Steel wriggling away. Jersey landing strikes, looking to finish! Jersey lands a nice shot to the head.
Steel is rocked! Jersey connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Steel is still in real trouble! Can Jersey finish him? Jersey postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked Steel badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of Jersey around the waist but Jersey pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Jersey is the winner by TKO! Jersey jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"
