Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Wayne Giggs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joseph Montferrand (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Montferrand has chosen Big Joe Mufferaw as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

7 - 11 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Joseph Montferrand!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Johanna Lukiainen and Arvi Lind.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Montferrand manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Giggs on his heels. He'll look to pass Giggs's guard now, I'm sure.
Giggs is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Montferrand throws a strike but Giggs rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Giggs wants to control from the top but Montferrand keeps moving.
Montferrand wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Giggs stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Montferrand swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Montferrand really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Giggs. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Montferrand will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Montferrand just misses with a punch to the body.
Montferrand on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Montferrand works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Giggs has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Montferrand shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Giggs pinned against the cage. Giggs gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Montferrand throws a left and a right that both miss
and Giggs counters with a good, hard body kick but Montferrand shrugs it off.
Wayne Giggs is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Montferrand misses with a left hand
and Giggs counters with a left and a right that stings Montferrand.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Montferrand fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Giggs manages to avoid it.
No joy there for Montferrand, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Montferrand has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Giggs fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Montferrand, pushing him back against the cage.
Montferrand managing to block the knees to the body from Giggs.
Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Giggs obliges.
Montferrand looks winded!
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Giggs connects with a nasty looking knee right to Montferrand's face.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.
Giggs with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head.
Montferrand takes a knee right on the jaw!
Giggs tries to work over Montferrand's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Giggs.

Montferrand is still on wobbly legs! Can Giggs finish him?
Giggs jerks Montferrand's head down, straight into the path of a devastating knee! Montferrand drops to the floor in a crumpled heap! Giggs goes to throw a finishing haymaker but pulls out - good sportsmanship from Giggs because Montferrand was completely out of it. That was a nice finish - just the right level of brutality to send everyone home happy.
