Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Alexandre Riberio! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Jack Milligan! The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Steven Brown and James Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The fight moves into the clinch position. With the fighters up against the cage, Milligan throws an elbow but misses. Riberio fails to pull guard.
Riberio has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Milligan avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Milligan tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Milligan creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses. Milligan misses with a knee strike.
Riberio is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Milligan to keep the fight standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Alexandre Riberio. That's going to take a lot out of him. Milligan has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Riberio clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Milligan somehow managing to miss with a strike from the back. Milligan keeps control of the position as Riberio tries to break free.
Milligan is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Milligan gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Milligan gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Milligan apologises and we restart here on the feet.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Riberio tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Milligan smiles and moves away.
Milligan takes the fight into the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. A knee to the head by Milligan.
Riberio is trying to pull guard but Milligan has him pressed against the cage. Milligan prevents the takedown attempt.
Riberio is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Milligan is defending well. Milligan connects with a knee to the head.

Milligan looking to throw knees to the head but Riberio is blocking nicely.
Milligan misses with a knee to the head. Milligan with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head. Riberio gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Milligan regains guard.
Milligan managing to control the position. Milligan is looking for a triangle but Riberio pushes his legs off easily.
Our spies down at at The Scrapyard inform us that Milligan has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off? Riberio showing good wrestling skills to control the position. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Riberio stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Milligan swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Milligan is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Riberio stands and throws Milligan's legs to the side, diving into side control. Riberio advances to mount. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Milligan is trying desperately to improve position. Riberio is trying to take his opponent's back.
Milligan is working to get back to half guard.
Milligan wants to hold on but Riberio pushes him away. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Riberio is working close to his opponent, looking to work a submission by the looks of things. Oh, he's managed to get a guillotine from mount as his opponent reached up! That looks tiiiiight! Will he tap? YES, he's tapped! Impressive submission by Riberio!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Alexandre Riberio! After the fight, Alexandre Riberio was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
