Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Leroy Houston (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Furry Warrior (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Leroy Houston!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Furry Warrior!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Dillan Fox and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Houston is looking to clinch.

Warrior moves into range and clinches up with Houston.
Houston tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Warrior smiles and moves away.

Warrior closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Warrior lands in his opponent's guard.

Houston throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Warrior must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Houston lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Warrior!
Houston can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Warrior is looking to escape.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Warrior tries to buck Houston off but he can't manage it.
Houston cracks Warrior with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Houston goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Warrior is on top in guard.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Warrior postures up.
Warrior keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Houston's head.

Warrior would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.



Warrior gets a takedown into half guard.
Houston trying to control but Warrior postures up.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Warrior really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Houston. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Houston is defending against the submission attempts here by Warrior.
Warrior is thwarting Houston's attempts to control the position.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Warrior seems to be looking for submissions.
Warrior looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Houston with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Houston tries to get to full guard but Warrior has control of the leg.
Warrior is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Houston tries to roll over but Warrior keeps him under control.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Warrior feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Houston looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Warrior puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.

Warrior looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Warrior seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Warrior is looking to stall here but Houston recovers full guard.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Warrior distracts Houston with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

Houston working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Warrior doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Warrior manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Houston trying to keep a closed guard but Warrior is proving a slippery customer.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Furry Warrior showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Houston has his foot on Warrior's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Warrior works his way back into a safe position though.

and Warrior counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Houston's guard now.

Furry Warrior comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Warrior has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
