Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Johnny Flynn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jon Wayne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Johnny Flynn has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Johnny Flynn!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jon Wayne!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, William Peck and Alec Ball.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Flynn throws a nice looking combination but Wayne bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Flynn has a takedown stuffed.
Flynn tries to close the distance and clinch but Wayne swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Wayne misses with a low kick.

Wayne closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Wayne wants to stand but Flynn has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
Flynn is looking for a sweep. Wayne is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Wayne seems to be looking for submissions.
Flynn tries to kick Wayne off but Wayne keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
It looks like Wayne is going to stand back up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Wayne thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Flynn tries to clinch up.

Wayne shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Flynn's guard.

Wayne keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Flynn's head.

Wayne jumps guard and drags Flynn to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Flynn wants to pass the guard but Wayne is keeping the position.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
Flynn tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Wayne wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Flynn has his takedown stuffed

Wayne wants the takedown. Flynn is fighting it off but Wayne persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Flynn's guard against the cage.

Well Wayne has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
