Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lal Umkenga (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wojtek Durlak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Lal Umkenga! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Wojtek Durlak! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Umkenga has a takedown stuffed. Umkenga misses with a takedown and Durlak counters with a nice low kick that buckles Umkenga's knee momentarily. Durlak is trying hard to land a takedown here. Umkenga sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Umkenga gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Durlak holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lal Umkenga. That's going to take a lot out of him. Durlak breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Umkenga dives in and grabs Durlak's left leg, looking for a takedown. Durlak pushes down on Umkenga's head and hops out. Lal Umkenga seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Umkenga moves to clinch but Durlak breaks away and Durlak counters by moving into the clinch. Umkenga is trying to pull guard but Durlak has him pressed against the cage. Durlak is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Umkenga can't fight it off and eventually Durlak manages to take the fight to the floor. Umkenga looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Durlak decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Umkenga, up you get! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! A momentary lapse in concentration from Umkenga enables Durlak to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Umkenga manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Umkenga has his foot on Durlak's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Durlak works his way back into a safe position though. Umkenga looking for a guillotine here but Durlak defends easily.

That's one minute gone in the round. Durlak gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Umkenga has his takedown stuffed and Durlak moves into the clinch. Umkenga jumps guard but Durlak stands there with Umkenga around his waist. Umkenga gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Umkenga. Durlak escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. That's four minutes gone in the round. Durlak utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Umkenga is looking to work some ground and pound but Durlak has wrist control. Umkenga throws a big right hand that misses. Umkenga throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. A close round but Wojtek Durlak will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Umkenga shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Durlak but Durlak pushes him off and we're back to square one. Durlak leaves Umkenga with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. No luck for Umkenga with that takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lal Umkenga. That's going to take a lot out of him. Durlak has Umkenga up against the cage in a clinch.

Durlak turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Durlak manages to end up in side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Durlak in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. Umkenga avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Durlak. Umkenga is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Umkenga manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Umkenga looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Durlak wants to free his trapped foot but Umkenga is holding on for dear life with his legs. Umkenga looking for submissions off his back. Umkenga has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Durlak stands up out of the half guard. Umkenga tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Durlak manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Umkenga shoots in but Durlak avoids the takedown attempt easily. Umkenga tries for a takedown but Durlak circles away easily and Durlak counters by moving into the clinch. The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Wojtek Durlak wasn't active enough on the ground. Umkenga fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Durlak darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Durlak throwing shots but Umkenga is blocking nicely. Durlak is looking to take a break and control but Umkenga is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Durlak is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Umkenga doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Durlak. Umkenga regains full guard. Nicely done.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Umkenga is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Durlak has his hands clasped together but Umkenga extends and breaks Durlak's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Umkenga.
