Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Bruno Lombardi and Lou da Vinci.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ross slaps away a takedown attempt from Katzer, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Ross misses with a lunging right hand
and Katzer counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Ross tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Ross swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Katzer counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Ross clinches up with Katzer and pushes him back against the cage.
Ross goes for a takedown in the clinch but Katzer prevents it.

Oooooh!!! Katzer has knocked Ross down with a huge combo! Katzer steps away and waves a wobbly Ross back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Ross postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Katzer is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Ross, into his guard.

Katzer fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Ross avoids it really well and circles away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for John Katzer. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Ross glances at the clock... BAM! Katzer nails him with a big right hand! A momentary lapse in concentration sends Ross crashing to the mat! The referee steps in and this one is over! Damn, Ross is out of it, he thinks the ref is his opponent!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). John Katzer!
