PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Nick Dick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ivan Grozny (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Nick Dick has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Nick Dick seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, James Atkins and Colin Fotheringham.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dick gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Dick has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Dick there as he acknowledges the shot.
Grozny throws a hook but Dick avoids it easily.

Dick drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Dick cracks Grozny with a solid left hand.
Dick landing some decent shots from guard.

Grozny is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Dick defends well.
Dick scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Grozny has his foot on Dick's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Dick works his way back into a safe position though.
Dick stands up over Grozny, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Dick connects with a couple of short punches.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Dick's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Grozny is rocked!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Dick gets to his feet and stands over Grozny, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Grozny felt that one! Dick unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Grozny from any more punishment!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:22 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Nick Dick!
After winning the bout, Nick Dick thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
