Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tom Huddlestone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dane Cook (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cook has chosen I Want You to Want Me by Cheap Trick as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tom Huddlestone!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 14 - 2, fighting out of Montreal, Dane Cook!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Elvis Blanc and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A punch combination from Huddlestone misses.
Cook looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Dane Cook seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Cook blocks the body kick.
Huddlestone misses with a combination
and Cook counters with a straight right hand.
Huddlestone ducks under a wild hook from Cook.
Cook lands with an uppercut that bounces Huddlestone off the cage and back into range.
Cook connects with a looping right hand.
Huddlestone turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Cook throws a nice looking combination but Huddlestone bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Cook misses with a head kick.
Huddlestone looks for the body kick but Cook saw that one coming.
Huddlestone bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Cook's head backwards.
Huddlestone misses with a low kick.
Cook throws a poor cross that misses
and Huddlestone counters with a series of strikes. Cook will be more careful next time no doubt.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Cook lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Huddlestone digs a good hook to Cook's body.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Decent striking displayed by Cook there.
Cook throws an overhand right that lands on Huddlestone's shoulder, as Huddlestone tries to avoid the shot.
Huddlestone closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Huddlestone throws a push kick but Cook slaps the foot to one side.
Huddlestone throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Cook tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Huddlestone manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Cook throws a hook but Huddlestone avoids it easily.
Cook misses with a looping left.
Huddlestone really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
A low kick from Huddlestone misses
and Cook counters with a left to the body.
Huddlestone uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Cook.
Cook thows a body shot but no joy.
Huddlestone pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Huddlestone checks a low kick from Cook.
Cook might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
Cook punishes Huddlestone's body with a nice straight punch.

Cook is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Huddlestone throws a half hearted mid kick.
Cook darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Huddlestone uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Cook.
Cook misses with a few strikes there.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Huddlestone.
A nice combination there by Cook.
Huddlestone swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Huddlestone throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Huddlestone lands a nice looking body kick.
Cook thows a left - swing and a miss!
Huddlestone scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Huddlestone keeps the fight on the outside.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Huddlestone takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Huddlestone moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Sloppy strikes from Cook. Those never looked like landing.
Cook works over Huddlestone's head and body with a nice combination.


Huddlestone is rocked!


It looks like Tom Huddlestone has been cut.
Cook throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Huddlestone cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Oh Huddlestone is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Huddlestone walks into a jab.
Cook cracks Huddlestone with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Huddlestone tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Cook pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Huddlestone is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:29 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Dane Cook!
After winning the bout, Dane Cook thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
Tom Huddlestone was interviewed post fight and said 'i feel halo and depressed, no fighting motivation at all'.
