Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tomas Romero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sid Reaper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sid Reaper is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tomas Romero! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Sid Reaper! The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Horrible takedown by Reaper or perhaps it was just good defense by Romero which made him look bad. Reaper gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Romero counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Reaper shoots in and drives through. Romero sprawls well. Tomas Romero has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sid Reaper. Reaper misses with a takedown attempt and Romero counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Reaper gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Romero counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Reaper doesn't succeed with the takedown letting Romero counter with a right hand. Reaper closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Reaper lands in his opponent's guard. Reaper pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Romero is keeping the position for now. Romero tries to land a sweep but no joy. Romero preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Romero is trying to control the position but Reaper postures up. Reaper drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Romero dives on top into guard. Reaper had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Romero defends it easily. Romero scoring with some ground and pound. Romero tries to stand but Reaper is controlling from the bottom. Romero trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Reaper has his foot on Romero's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Romero works his way back into a safe position though. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Romero is posturing up here but Reaper has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Romero tries to roll out but it's too tight and Romero has to tap! Slick submission there by Reaper!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Sid Reaper!
