The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Churchill lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

It looks like Josh Barnett has been cut.

Churchill shoots in and bounces Barnett off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Barnett had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Churchill defends it easily.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Barnett looking to hit a scissor sweep but Churchill is one step ahead there.

Churchill trying to control the position from guard on top but Barnett is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Barnett bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Churchill's guard.
Churchill keeping moving, preventing Barnett from controlling successfully.

Barnett tries to free his leg and advance position but Churchill is retaining full guard.
Churchill wants to stand but Barnett is controlling the position.

Churchill is trying to escape back to his feet but Barnett uses the scramble to pass into side control.
Barnett advances nicely into full mount.

Churchill on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Churchill tries to get out of the position.
Barnett avoids the attempt from Churchill to control.
Churchill is trying to stand up.
Churchill trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.

Barnett jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Churchill manages to avoid the submission attempt.

Barnett in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.

Barnett scores with a couple of short elbows.

Barnett has hold of Churchill's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Churchill tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Barnett cranks the arm and Churchill screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Churchill, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
