Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Robert Douchet and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blackmore throws a head kick that misses.
A nice leg kick lands there from Blackmore.
Blackmore drives through and clinches with Patterson against the cage.
Blackmore pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Blackmore gets control of Patterson's arms and successfully pulls guard. Blackmore will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Vaughn Patterson has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Blackmore closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Patterson quickly recovers to half guard.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Winston Blackmore hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Blackmore fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Patterson, pushing him back against the cage.
Blackmore has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Patterson uses from the top position.
Blackmore is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Patterson is controlling him.

Winston Blackmore seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Patterson jumps guard but Blackmore stands there with Patterson around his waist. Patterson gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Winston Blackmore dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Patterson is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Blackmore tries to bum rush Patterson with a series of wild strikes but Patterson uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Blackmore lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Vaughn Patterson is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Blackmore is pressed up against the cage. Patterson has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Blackmore down to the mat. Blackmore avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Blackmore feints a jab promting Patterson to slip. Blackmore then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Patterson slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
It looks like Vaughn Patterson has been cut.
Blackmore closes the distance and pushes Patterson back into the cage.
Patterson is looking to break free of the clinch but Blackmore has double underhooks.
Patterson tries for a takedown. No joy.
Patterson is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Blackmore pulls him back up using the underhooks.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Vaughn Patterson. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Blackmore gets a trip takedown into half guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Patterson is looking for a sweep. Blackmore is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Blackmore has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Patterson defend it? Blackmore steps over the head and cranks it - Patterson is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Blackmore!

Winston Blackmore decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
