Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Colin Sheppard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alphonso Damiano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Alphonso Damiano enters the cage!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

1 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Colin Sheppard!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Alphonso Damiano!
The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Chris Saunders and Jeff Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Damiano stuns Sheppard with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Alphonso Damiano seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Damiano lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
It looks like Colin Sheppard has been cut.
Damiano fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Sheppard avoids it really well and circles away.
Sheppard dives in and grabs Damiano's left leg, looking for a takedown. Damiano pushes down on Sheppard's head and hops out.
Damiano clinches up against the cage.
Damiano effectively controlling the action here.
Damiano is trying to break free.
Damiano is trying to break the clinch but Sheppard is controlling him.
Sheppard tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Damiano smiles and moves away.
Damiano lands with a shot to the body.
Sheppard really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Damiano leaves Sheppard with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Sheppard prevents a takedown attempt there.
Damiano is trying to force a seperation but Sheppard has the dominant position.

Damiano changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Sheppard fights it off and pushes away nicely.

and Sheppard counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Sheppard tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Damiano swivels and escapes.
Damiano fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Sheppard moves to clinch but Damiano breaks away
and Damiano counters with a crisp one two that drops Sheppard! Damiano thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Sheppard to his feet! Sheppard is in big trouble!
Sheppard is breathing heavily.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Damiano pushes Sheppard up against the cage in a clinch.
Damiano has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Sheppard avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Sheppard. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
Damiano can't get the takedown.

Damiano tries to circle away but Sheppard has him pinned against the cage.
Damiano decides to pull guard.
Damiano looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Damiano is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Sheppard defends well.
Damiano is pulling down on Sheppard's head. It's preventing any offense from Sheppard, at least for the moment.
Damiano is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Damiano has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Sheppard knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Damiano on the ground.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Damiano shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Sheppard as he jumps to the side.
Damiano shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Sheppard defends it nicely.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Sheppard tries to close the distance and clinch but Damiano swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Alphonso Damiano seems to be getting the better of the standup.

and Sheppard counters with a right hand to the body.
Damiano closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Sheppard keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Damiano's head.

Damiano jumps guard and drags Sheppard to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Damiano. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

Alphonso Damiano is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Alphonso Damiano comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Damiano has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

A less than humble Alphonso Damiano misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
