Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tyson Jacobs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Christer Pettersson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pettersson is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Korn - Did My Time . Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
13 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tyson Jacobs! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
22 - 12 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Christer Pettersson! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pettersson looks to score with a jab to the body but Jacobs is just out of range. Pettersson lands a head kick!
Jacobs has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Hell's Balls NY Hellcademy in the buildup to the fight. Jacobs scores with a nice strike. Jacobs looks to land a combination but Pettersson avoids it well. Pettersson just misses with a punch to the body.
Pettersson walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Jacobs checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. A big left from Jacobs misses. Jacobs fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Pettersson keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! The fight stays on the outside here - Pettersson looks like he's thinking about clinching though. A looping hook to the body misses from Pettersson. Jacobs does a little dance to reset his feet. Jacobs throws a good cross that connects.
A chopping leg kick lands by Jacobs. Jacobs blocks the body kick.
Pettersson uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Jacobs. Pettersson tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Pettersson's coach down at Kebab House was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Pettersson's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Jacobs doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pettersson on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Jacobs. Jacobs obviously looking to wear him down.
Tyson Jacobs seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Pettersson tries to close the distance and clinch but Jacobs swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Pettersson checks a low kick from Jacobs. Jacobs throws a body punch but Pettersson moves out of range. Pettersson misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Jacobs.

A head kick misses from Jacobs. A slow jab from Jacobs misses its intended target. Pettersson is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Jacobs rather than just go for the knockout. Jacobs throws a jab but it's blocked by Pettersson. Jacobs looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Pettersson lands with a good body shot. Jacobs throws a low kick, looking for Pettersson's leg but Pettersson calmly moves out of range. Jacobs dives in and scores a takedown into Pettersson's guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Jacobs postures up in Pettersson's guard and throws a big left but Pettersson blocks it. Jacobs stops Pettersson from standing up. This has been an exciting period of action! Jacobs looking to sit in guard and control but Pettersson gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jacobs working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Pettersson doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Pettersson manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Jacobs has his foot on Pettersson's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Pettersson works his way back into a safe position though. Jacobs looking for a guillotine here but Pettersson defends easily.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Jacobs is trying to get back to full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Jacobs is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Pettersson pulls his head out easily. Pettersson tries to stand but can't do so whilst Jacobs controls his leg. Jacobs is trying to get back to full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jacobs makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Jacobs. Jacobs looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Pettersson is defending well. Jacobs quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Pettersson has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Jacobs celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
