Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mariano Trias (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Seijuro Akashi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Trias comes to the cage accompanied by misteryo by slapshock. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Mariano Trias! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Seijuro Akashi! The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, David Hoff and Michael Johnstone.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Akashi gets a double leg takedown into Trias's guard. Akashi stopping the sweep attempt from Trias. Trias is working an open guard so Akashi takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Trias shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Akashi pinned against the cage. Akashi gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Akashi fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Trias to the ground. Akashi is now in Trias's guard. Trias isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Akashi stacks Trias on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Akashi! Akashi cracks Trias with an elbow. That is naaassty. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Trias gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! Trias's coaches at Cozad The Island have been working on his defensive grappling in preparation for this fight so let's see if he can get out of this tricky position. Akashi landing strikes, looking to finish! BOOM! Akashi connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Trias tries to reverse the position but Akashi maintains control. Akashi can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Trias is looking to escape. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Akashi wants to take his opponent's back but he's not managed it. Akashi sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Akashi dominating with strikes here. Akashi has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Trias's face.
Akashi scoring with strikes but Trias is staying in there. Akashi landing shots from mount. Akashi has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Trias's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. Akashi controlling from the full mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Trias is trying to escape the mount.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Akashi controlling the pace for now. Akashi cracks Trias with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Akashi prevents Trias from getting the reversal. Akashi controlling from mount. Trias is looking to get to half guard. Trias is breathing heavily. Akashi takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Trias can't escape the position.
Trias is squirming around, avoiding Akashi's attempts to control the action. Akashi working the ground and pound effectively.
Akashi controlling the position easily from mount. Akashi lands a nice shot to the head. Akashi raining down hammerfists from mount. Akashi throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Trias has his hands clasped together but Akashi breaks the hold and Trias is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Akashi!
