Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Hois Kreisi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mauri Alavaara (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kreisi comes to the cage accompanied by Ella ja Aleksi - Kakkaa lumella. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Hois Kreisi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 39 - 25 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Mauri Alavaara!
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Arvi Lind and Roosa Järviläinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kreisi misses with a hook. Alavaara ducked under it nicely.
Alavaara looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Alavaara scores with a jab to the jaw.

Kreisi shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Alavaara napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Kreisi creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
Alavaara is not content to let Kreisi control the position.
Kreisi throwing shots but missing, from side control.
Alavaara struggling a bit here.
An elbow from Kreisi crashes against the mat.
Kreisi tries to advance to mount but can't.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Kreisi thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.
Kreisi lands a couple of good shots and Alavaara has given up his back, trying to escape the position!
Kreisi has the hooks in. Alavaara is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.

Alavaara turns into Kreisi and is now in his guard.
Alavaara trying to control the position from guard on top but Kreisi is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Kreisi is trying to hold Alavaara in close to prevent damage but Alavaara has managed to pass into half guard.

Kreisi has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Alavaara controlling the action here.
The fighters are battling for position here. Kreisi manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Kreisi is looking for a triangle but Alavaara pushes his legs off easily.

Alavaara got a little sloppy there for a moment and Kreisi has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Alavaara has managed to get both his arms back between Kreisi's legs - danger averted.
Alavaara must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Kreisi has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Alavaara has passed into side control.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Alavaara decides to stand up, so the ref orders Kreisi to his feet.
Alavaara slips under a jab.
Kreisi takes a swing at Alavaara's ribcage but misses.
Kreisi thows a body shot but no joy.
Alavaara does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Alavaara lands the left hand.
Kreisi with a nice cross.
Kreisi lands a nice shot to the body.
Kreisi misses with a right hand
and Alavaara counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.
Kreisi smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Mauri Alavaara is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Kreisi throws a body punch but Alavaara moves out of range.
Kreisi drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Kreisi throws a lazy uppercut
and Alavaara counters with an inside leg kick.
Hois Kreisi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Kreisi connects with a body shot.
Kreisi thows a body shot but no joy.
Alavaara scores with a leg kick.

Alavaara drives through and clinches with Kreisi against the cage.
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
Kreisi tries to pull guard but Alavaara won't allow it.

Kreisi drags the fight down to the ground.

Kreisi is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Kreisi keeping full guard, as Alavaara tries to pass.
Alavaara trying to control but Kreisi is working from the bottom.
Alavaara seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Kreisi had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Alavaara defends it easily.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Kreisi throws his legs up looking for a submission but Alavaara uses it to pass to side control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Hois Kreisi dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Kreisi connects with a high kick.
Alavaara fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Kreisi manages to avoid it.
Alavaara walks into a left hand.
Kreisi looks to score with a jab to the body but Alavaara is just out of range.
Kreisi swings for the body but Alavaara moves out of range.
Alavaara scores with a kick to the midsection.
Kreisi fails to land with a series of punches.
Alavaara chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Alavaara uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Kreisi.
Nice cross by Alavaara.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Nice uppercut there from Kreisi.
Kreisi ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Alavaara moves away.
Alavaara lands a glancing blow to the side of Kreisi's head.
Mauri Alavaara seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Kreisi gets a takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Alavaara is looking to improve his position.

Kreisi is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Alavaara wants to control but Kreisi is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Kreisi moves into full mount! Alavaara won't be happy about that!
Kreisi postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Alavaara looks a forlorn figure.
Kreisi misses with a head shot.
Kreisi looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.


Alavaara is rocked!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Kreisi wants to control the pace but Alavaara is squirming around nicely.

Kreisi loads up with a big shot that hurts Alavaara! He's pulled Kreisi in close but Kreisi has postured up and lands more strikes. Can Alavaara survive? More strikes from Kreisi and Alavaara is out! The ref jumps in to save him! Brutal ground and pound!
