Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Randy Sosa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Austin Lyle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Austin Lyle will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Randy Sosa! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Austin Lyle! The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Chris Saunders and Ryoma Takatsuka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sosa darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Sosa throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Sosa trying to control the action but Lyle is working from the bottom. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Lyle actively working from the bottom here. It looks like Sosa is going to stand back up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sosa wants to stand up but Lyle manages to regain full guard. Lyle has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Sosa can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Sosa trying to stand up but can't free himself from Lyle's guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sosa trying to control but Lyle is working from the bottom. Sosa postures up.
Randy Sosa has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Sosa tries to close the distance and clinch but Lyle swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The fight stays on the outside here - Sosa looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Sosa has taken the fight to the clinch.
Lyle has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Sosa clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Lyle gets his hands free as Sosa looks to control. Lyle has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Sosa has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
Sosa looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment. Lyle has his opponent's back and is working for the choke.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Sosa wants to get back to his feet. Sosa wants to escape the position.
Sosa is trying to stand back up. Lyle is looking for the choke from the back position but Sosa is controlling his hands well. Sosa breaks Lyle's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Sosa wants to control from the top but Lyle keeps moving. Sosa has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Lyle manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Austin Lyle will probably get the nod. That's time! Sosa's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Lyle circles away from the clinch attempt and Lyle counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Lyle pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Sosa is keeping the position for now. Sosa looking for a sweep. Not yet Sosa, not yet. Lyle drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Lyle jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Sosa trying to keep a closed guard but Lyle is proving a slippery customer.
Sosa wants to stand up but Lyle is controlling him. Sosa utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Sosa wants to stand but Lyle is controlling the position. Lyle slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lyle is looking to pass into half guard but Sosa pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Sosa is in guard. Sosa wants to get up but he can't break Lyle's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Austin Lyle has got the better of the ground game so far. Sosa trying to control but Lyle is working from the bottom.
We're going to have a standup here because Randy Sosa wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Sosa wants to clinch up but Lyle keeps it at a distance. Sosa tries to clinch but Lyle moves out of range. Sosa tries to close the distance and clinch but Lyle swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sosa moves to clinch but Lyle breaks away and Lyle counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Lyle drops back looking for a leg! Sosa is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Sosa manages to kick Lyle off! Lyle jumps back into Sosa's guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Lyle with a flurry of punches that miss.

Lyle stops Sosa from standing up. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Lyle wants to pass the guard but Sosa is keeping the position. Sosa really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Lyle advances to half guard. Lyle is working for a submission of some sort.

Lyle is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Sosa defends it well. Lyle tries to pass to full mount but Sosa defends it. Lyle working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Sosa's thigh. Sosa counters though and makes it back to full guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Sosa wants to stand up but Lyle is controlling him. Lyle throws a big right hand that misses. Austin Lyle showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

Sosa is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Sosa manages to kick Lyle off! Lyle jumps back into Sosa's guard. Lyle is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Lyle wants to pass the guard but Sosa is keeping the position. Lyle trying to control the position from guard on top but Sosa is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Sosa is adopting a defensive guard.

And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Sosa has Lyle pulled in close to control his posture. Lyle tries to free his leg and advance position but Sosa is retaining full guard. Lyle wants to control from the top but Sosa keeps moving. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Austin Lyle. Lyle swats away the attempt to clinch by Sosa.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sosa tries to close the distance and clinch up but Lyle swats him away and circles back towards the center. Sosa wants to clinch. Lyle stuffs the takedown. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Sosa tries to close the distance and clinch up but Lyle swats him away and circles back towards the center.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Austin Lyle. I've got Lyle winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
