Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Greg Madison (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Lie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lie has chosen we right here as his entrance music. Mike Lie told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Greg Madison! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 30 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mike Lie! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Chris Downing and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lie throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Madison rushes Lie and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Madison breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Lie throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Madison holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Madison breaks the clinch.
Madison buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
A slapping leg kick lands for Madison.
Mike Lie seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Madison connects with a solid leg kick. Madison fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Madison changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Madison scores with a hook. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Lie walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Madison moves into the clinch successfully.
Madison keeps control of Lie as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Madison lands a nice elbow from the clinch.
It looks like Mike Lie has been cut. Madison breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. No joy there for Lie, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Madison definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Lie throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Madison moves into the clinch. Madison stalls. Madison lands a body punch. Madison escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
That's one minute gone in the round. A head kick from Madison lands but Lie takes it in his stride. Madison lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Madison works over Lie's head and body with a nice combination.
Lie is rocked! Madison lands with a right hand. Lie is still on wobbly legs! Can Madison finish him? Madison drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks Lie right on the button. Lie goes down! Madison follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! Madison gets the win via TKO!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:17 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Greg Madison!
