Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Stringer Bell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Terry Wells (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Stringer Bell!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Terry Wells!
The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, David Hoff and Santiago Holmes.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bell shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Bell tries to pass to full mount but Wells defends it.
Wells is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
We've been hearing good reports from Bell's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Bell is looking for a kimura but Wells is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Bell to get the leverage.
Wells wants to control but Bell is keeping busy.
Bell is trying to control. Wells wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Bell wants to free his trapped foot but Wells is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Wells is looking for a sweep. Bell is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Bell stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
Wells takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

Bell shoots in and gets a takedown into Wells's guard.
Bell has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Wells is proving hard to escape from.

Wells wants to stand but Bell is controlling the position.
Wells controls Bell momentarily but Bell frees himself.

Bell wants to pass the guard but Wells is keeping the position.
Bell is working hard here to advance position.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Bell trying to control but Wells is working from the bottom.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Bell feints and as Wells raises his hands in defense, Bell changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Wells working for a triangle but Bell defends it easily.

Wells looking to hit a scissor sweep but Bell is one step ahead there.
Wells wants to improve his position but instead Bell has moved into half guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Wells is in trouble now - Bell has advanced to mount!
Wells is flailing around like a fish out of water, trying to land strikes.

Wells can't escape the position.
Bell content just to control the position here.

Bell moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Wells has worked his arm free - good work by Wells!
Bell moves into full mount!
Bell looking to control but Wells is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Wells can't escape the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Stringer Bell dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Bell lands a right hook to the body.
Bell misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Wells.
Bell fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Wells is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Bell moves into the clinch.
Bell drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Wells gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Wells can't break the clinch.
Bell gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Wells.

Bell has Wells pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Bell pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Wells tumbling to the mat - Bell dives into Wells's guard.

Bell trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Wells manages to land a sweep and now he's on top!
Bell keeping moving, preventing Wells from controlling successfully.
Wells is looking to work some ground and pound but Bell has wrist control.

Bell wants to stand and escape but Wells is having none of it.

Wells won't allow Bell to sweep him here.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Terry Wells wasn't active enough on the ground.
Horrible takedown by Wells or perhaps it was just good defense by Bell which made him look bad.

Bell gets a double leg takedown into Wells's guard.
Bell is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Bell works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Bell prevents Wells from standing back up.
Bell wants to pass to mount but Wells is defending the position.
Wells is looking for a sweep. Bell is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Bell is taking a breather. Wells says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Wells wants to improve his position but Bell is controlling well.
Wells is looking to escape.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Wells fails with an attempt to clinch.

Bell shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Bell sitting in guard, not really doing much.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bell looking to pass the guard.
Wells is trying to control the position but Bell postures up.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Wells tries to land a sweep but no joy.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Bell closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Wells quickly recovers to half guard.
Bell slows the pace down in half guard.
Wells is in trouble now - Bell has advanced to mount!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!

Bell feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Terry Wells seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
