Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Eddie Armstrong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roman Shebanov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shebanov has chosen Don't worry, be happy as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Eddie Armstrong has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 2 - 1, fighting out of London, Eddie Armstrong!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Roman Shebanov!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Aafke Stam and Paul Aken.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Armstrong ducks under a wild hook from Shebanov.
Shebanov moves into range and connects with a jab.
Armstrong looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
A clash of legs there as Armstrong blocks the low kick.
Armstrong fails with an attempt to clinch.
Shebanov swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Armstrong on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Shebanov ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Armstrong moves away.
Armstrong tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Shebanov manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Armstrong shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Shebanov but Shebanov pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Armstrong has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Shebanov really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Armstrong. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Shebanov lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
Shebanov slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Armstrong turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Armstrong manages to end up in side control.
