Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Split Rush (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rcrs Sarabjit (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Split Rush!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Rcrs Sarabjit!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Dillan Fox and Alec Ball.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sarabjit gets caught flat footed, as Rush shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Rush is stalling in the full guard.
Sarabjit preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Sarabjit can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Rush controls the pace.
Rush has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Split Rush has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Rush fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Rush shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Sarabjit manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Sarabjit avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Rush loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Rush lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

Sarabjit is looking for a triangle but Rush pushes his legs off easily.
Rush is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Sarabjit should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Rush throwing strikes from guard but Sarabjit blocks nicely.
Rush wants to control from the top but Sarabjit keeps moving.
Rush is really struggling to control Sarabjit but he's trying to hold on to the position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Split Rush.
Sarabjit wants to clinch.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Sarabjit shoots in for a double leg but Rush sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Rush slips a jab and a cross from Sarabjit.
Rush shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Sarabjit as he avoids it easily.

Sarabjit moves into the clinch.

Rush has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Sarabjit regains guard immediately.
Rush content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Rush throwing strikes but missing.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Rush throwing strikes but missing.
Rush not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Rush looking to sit in guard and control but Sarabjit gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Rush pulls Sarabjit in close to his closed guard and prevents Sarabjit from doing any damage or advancing position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Split Rush dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Sarabjit throws a right and a left that Rush avoids nicely.
Sarabjit shoots in but no luck this time.
Rush has a takedown stuffed.
Sarabjit misses with a takedown attempt - Rush sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Rush gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Sarabjit counters with a left and a right that stings Rush.
Sarabjit will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Rush misses with a takedown attempt - Sarabjit sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Split Rush. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Sarabjit closes the distance and clinches up with Rush, looking for a takedown. Sarabjit pushes Rush against the cage but Rush circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Rush fails to land the takedown.
Rush shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Sarabjit pinned against the cage. Sarabjit gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Rush keeps the fight on the outside.
Sarabjit fails with the takedown.
Rush throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Sarabjit's waist but Sarabjit gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Rush off to one side.
Sarabjit stuffs the takedown attempt from Rush. Rush gets slowly back to his feet.

Rush decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Rush working the head and body with strikes.
Sarabjit tries to roll over but Rush keeps him under control.

Sarabjit is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Rush pulls his head out easily.
Rush with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
Rush is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Rush lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Sarabjit wants to get back to full guard.
Rush throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Rush looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Rush is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Rush tries to pass the half guard into mount. Sarabjit knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Rush frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Rush lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Rush connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Rush raining down hammerfists from mount.
Rush looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Rush connects with a couple of good shots from mount.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Split Rush dominated that second round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!


Sarabjit with a lazy takedown attempt

and Rush counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Sarabjit's guard now.
Split Rush overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Rush wants to pass the guard but Sarabjit is keeping the position.
Sarabjit working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Rush.
Rush tries to free his leg and advance position but Sarabjit is retaining full guard.
Rush postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Rush slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Sarabjit keeping moving, preventing Rush from controlling successfully.

That's one minute gone in the round.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

We're going to have a standup here because Split Rush wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Sarabjit throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Rush's waist but Rush gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Sarabjit off to one side.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Sarabjit is defended easily by Rush.
Split Rush has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rcrs Sarabjit.
Sarabjit shoots in looking for a takedown. Rush tries to sprawl out of it but Sarabjit keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Rush manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Rush closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Rush lands in his opponent's guard.
Rush throws a big elbow that misses.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Rush throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Sarabjit works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Rush is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Rush trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Sarabjit has eaten all the pies!
Rush cracks Sarabjit with a solid left hand.
Rush scores with a decent looking elbow strike.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Rush postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Rush distracts Sarabjit with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Rush will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Rush in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Rush landing with the ground and pound.
Rush stands up over Sarabjit, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Rush trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Rush is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Sarabjit can do to turn this around?

Sarabjit looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Rush advances to half guard.
Rush moves into full mount! Sarabjit won't be happy about that!
Rush lands a nice shot to the head.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Rush landing strikes from the mount and Sarabjit is in trouble!
Rcrs Sarabjit has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Split Rush is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
The referee warns Sarabjit that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

And that's the end of the fight!
Split Rush showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Rush, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
