Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Charlie Pace (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jhonny Winter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Charlie Pace! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jhonny Winter! The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Ben Hemmingworth and John Mangel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Winter throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Pace. Winter lands an overhand right.
It looks like Charlie Pace has been cut. Pace goes for a double leg but Winter avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Winter continues to drive forward. Winter tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Pace escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
No joy there for Pace, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Winter lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
This has been an exciting period of action! Pace tries to clinch up. Pace shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Winter's guard. Pace is looking to work some ground and pound but Winter has wrist control. Pace controls from within his opponent's guard. Pace throws a big right hand that misses. Winter wants to stand and escape but Pace is having none of it. Pace pushes down on Winter's leg and manages to get into half guard. Pace seems to be working for a kimura but Winter defends the submission attempt.
That's one minute gone in the round. Winter is defending against the submission attempts here by Pace.
Winter really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Pace. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Winter has one foot on Pace's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet. Pace takes a body punch but keeps moving. Pace shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Winter tries to kick Pace off but Pace keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Pace has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Winter looks winded! Pace throwing shots but Winter is blocking nicely. Pace looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Pace is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Winter doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Pace. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Winter is trying to stand.
Winter is not content to let Pace control the position. Winter is trying to stand up here but Pace is controlling him well. Pace is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Winter is just riding it out for now. Pace eventually gives up the hold.

Winter keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Pace missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Winter is trying to stand.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Pace has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Winter defend it? Pace steps over the head and cranks it - Winter is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Pace!
