Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Simon Frazier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Scott Watt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Watt's choice of entrance music: Edmund Fitzgerald. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Scott Watt!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Frazier takes a swing at Watt's ribcage but misses.

Frazier looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Frazier is controlling the pace.
Watt has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Frazier is working away from the top position though.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Frazier connects with a nice short shot to Watt's temple.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Watt avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Frazier stands and steps away. Watt gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Frazier's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Watt loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Frazier is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at Weed Nation that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Frazier manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Watt is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
Frazier is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Watt to keep the fight standing.
Frazier is working for takedown but Watt is calmly controlling the position for now.

Frazier on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Frazier tries to get out of the position.
Frazier manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

I would not like to be Watt right now.
Watt really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Frazier. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Frazier lands a punch that was close to the back of the head but the ref thinks it's OK.
Frazier really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Watt.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Frazier looking to break Watt's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Watt remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Frazier will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!

We've been informed that Watt has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.

I would just about give that final round to Scott Watt.
