PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mlody Drimzki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bigg Moe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Moe is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by polly cover my son justin. The key to victory for Mlody Drimzki has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Mlody Drimzki!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Bigg Moe!
The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Daniel Franklin and Peter Branson.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Moe is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Drimzki.
Drimzki cracks the inside of Moe's front leg.
Moe throws a shot from downtown. Drimzki moves away and avoids it.
A swing and a miss from Moe.
Drimzki throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Moe's waist but Moe gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Drimzki off to one side.
Moe blocks a head kick by Drimzki.
Moe misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Drimzki thows a left - swing and a miss!
Drimzki throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Drimzki shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Moe sprawls well. Moe wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Drimzki gets slowly back to his feet.
Drimzki has his takedown stuffed
and Drimzki takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

It looks like Mlody Drimzki has been cut.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mlody Drimzki. That's going to take a lot out of him.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Moe shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Moe controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

It looks like Moe might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Drimzki could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Drimzki is striking off his back. Moe thinks nothing of it though and passes easily into half guard.
Moe is controlling the pace.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Bigg Moe hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Moe throws an off balance right hand
and Drimzki counters with a flying knee. Nice.
Drimzki steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Moe.

Moe avoids the head kick by Drimzki.

Moe drives through with a takedown into Drimzki's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Drimzki is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Moe thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Moe postures up and lands a big shot to Drimzki's brow.
Moe stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Drimzki swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Moe connects with a couple of short punches.
Moe postures up and lands a big shot to Drimzki's brow.
Moe stands up over Drimzki, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Moe is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Drimzki sees it coming and defends easily.
Moe throwing shots but Drimzki is blocking nicely.

Moe escapes and gets back to his feet.
A head kick from Drimzki lands but Moe takes it in his stride.

Moe changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Drimzki looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Moe is chipping away with strikes.
Moe landing strikes.

Drimzki is rocked!
Drimzki is breathing heavily.
Moe is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Drimzki will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
Oh Drimzki is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
A big shot lands for Moe! That's hurt Drimzki! Will he recover? Moe fires away with more strikes and the referee has to step in to stop the fight!

Bigg Moe tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
