Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Yoshido Nakamara (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Masa Mune (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Yoshido Nakamara! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Masa Mune! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Ren Mimura and Yukihiro Shimada.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mune misses with a few strikes there.
Mune lands a two punch combo.
Mune defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Nakamara. Nakamara shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Mune pinned against the cage. Mune gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Mune throws a big shot that misses. Mune lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Mune throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Nakamara tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Mune is in Nakamara's guard. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Nakamara has momentary wrist control but Mune slips an elbow through the middle. Mune controls from within his opponent's guard. Nakamara looking for a guillotine here but Mune defends easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mune showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Nakamara keeping moving, preventing Mune from controlling successfully.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Masa Mune was stalling too much, according to the referee. Mune dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Nakamara looking to score a takedown here. Mune is defending well but Nakamara drives through and ends up in Mune's guard. Nakamara looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio. Mune trying to keep a closed guard but Nakamara is proving a slippery customer.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mune wants to sweep here but Nakamara controlling him for the moment. Mune keeping full guard, as Nakamara tries to pass. Nakamara trying to control the position from guard on top but Mune is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Mune utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Nakamara wants to pass the guard but Mune is keeping the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nakamara tries to stand but Mune is controlling from the bottom. Nakamara trying to control but Mune is working from the bottom. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Mune punishes Nakamara's body with a nice straight punch. Mune misses with a low kick.
Mune ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Nakamara moves away. Mune decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Mune slips a nice elbow through Nakamara's hands, connecting with Nakamara's forehead. Nakamara looks like he's trying to stand up.
Mune takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mune working Nakamara over with strikes. Nakamara has hold of Mune's hands but Mune slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Mune is just content to waste time from the top position. Nakamara takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. Mune working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Nakamara is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Mune with a nice head shot there. Mune stopping the sweep attempt from Nakamara. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Nakamara keeping moving, preventing Mune from controlling successfully. Mune might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Nakamara haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Masa Mune dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Mune lands a nice shot to the body.
Mune ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Mune swings for the body but Nakamara moves out of range.
Mune misses with a two punch combination.
Mune tried to score with a low kick but Nakamara checks it. Mune lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. No joy there for Nakamara, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Nakamara looks to land a combination but Mune avoids it well. Nakamara looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Nakamara is looking to advance position but Mune has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!
That's one minute gone in the round. Mune landing punches. Mune tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Mune trying to control but he's not successful this time. Mune prevents Nakamara from getting the reversal. Nakamara is working hard here to advance position. Nakamara sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. Nakamara is trying to maintain the position but Mune is very close to passing his half guard. Nakamara is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Mune scores with a couple of nice shots. Mune working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Nakamara makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Nakamara.
That's two minutes gone in the round. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Nakamara throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Nakamara working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Mune doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Mune manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Mune looking to sit in guard and control but Nakamara gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Nakamara trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Nakamara is looking to advance position but Mune has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount! Mune working away from the top, dropping strikes.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mune lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Nakamara hang on?
It looks like Yoshido Nakamara has been cut. Mune raining down hammerfists from mount. Mune tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Mune with a couple of short strikes. Mune working the ground and pound effectively.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Nakamara tries to reverse the position but Mune maintains control. Mune cracks Nakamara with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Nakamara is trying to escape the mount.
Mune looking to control but Nakamara is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Mune is in the full mount, landing strikes. Mune raining down hammerfists from mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mune trying to control but he's not successful this time. Mune is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Nakamara can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Nakamara is rocked! Nakamara bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Oh Nakamara is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Nakamara wants to control from the top but Mune keeps moving. Nakamara seems to have got his legs back now. Masa Mune has got the better of the ground game so far. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Mune is on top in guard.
Mune must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Hammerfist, elbow! yells Mune's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Mune postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Masa Mune showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Yoshido Nakamara's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
Nice body punch from Mune. Mune looks to score with a jab to the body but Nakamara is just out of range. Masa Mune seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Mune misses with a looping right. Nakamara takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. A looping hook to the body misses from Mune. Nakamara does a little dance to reset his feet. Mune clobbers Nakamara with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Mune scores with a nice head shot. Nakamara uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Mune.
Nakamara misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Nakamara tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Mune swivels and escapes. Mune lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. The fight moves into the clinch position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mune throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges. Nakamara is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Mune to keep the fight standing. Mune has Nakamara pressed against the cage, preventing Nakamara from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Nakamara fails to pull guard.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Yoshido Nakamara. That's going to take a lot out of him. Mune using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Nakamara has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Nakamara jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Mune walks away with a smile on his face. Nakamara gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Masa Mune seems to be getting the better of the standup. Nakamara shoots in looking for a takedown. Mune tries to sprawl out of it but Nakamara keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Mune manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Nakamara gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Mune counters with a straight right hand.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Left hook, right uppercut from Mune. Nakamara takes a shot right to the bread basket. Nakamara takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Mune slaps away a takedown attempt from Nakamara, before circling back to the center of the mat. Mune misses with a wild body shot. Mune scores with a jab to the body. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Mune lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Nakamara circles away quickly and effectively. Nakamara with a poor takedown and Mune counters with a nice body shot. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Mune keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mune clobbers Nakamara with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Mune misses with a wild combination.
Mune shoots in and gets a takedown into Nakamara's guard. Mune is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Mune stops Nakamara from standing up. Mune cracks Nakamara with a solid left hand. Mune wants to stand but Nakamara is controlling his posture from full guard. Mune throws a big right hand that misses. Mune trying to control the position from guard on top but Nakamara is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Nakamara pulls Mune in to control the position. Mune has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mune seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Mune working some strikes from top position. Masa Mune is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Mune throws a big elbow that misses. Mune is in close to Nakamara's body, working some short punches and elbows. Mune is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Mune landing with the ground and pound. Nakamara can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Mune controls the pace. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Mune with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
And that's the end of the fight! Masa Mune comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Mune winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
