Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Leonardo Florentino Ernesto Alvarez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kogata Munoz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Leonardo Florentino Ernesto Alvarez!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Kogata Munoz!
The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, Steven Brown and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Munoz changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Alvarez tries to avoid it but Munoz manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Alvarez to the ground. Alvarez escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

and Alvarez counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Alvarez gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Alvarez apologises and we restart here on the feet.

That was a close round but Leonardo Florentino Ernesto Alvarez did the better work so I'd imagine he'll take it.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

That was a close fourth round but I would say that Leonardo Florentino Ernesto Alvarez will probably get the nod.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Kogata Munoz hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
