Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Hunter Akbar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Boxer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
18 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Hunter Akbar! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 8 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mark Boxer! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Chris Downing and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Akbar is trying hard to land a takedown here. Boxer sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Akbar avoids the body shot from Boxer.
Mark Boxer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Boxer tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Akbar tries to clinch and Boxer counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Akbar thinking. Boxer tried to score with a low kick but Akbar checks it. We've been hearing reports that Akbar has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. Some wild striking there from Akbar.
Boxer throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Akbar looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Boxer slaps away a takedown attempt from Akbar, before circling back to the center of the mat. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Hunter Akbar. That's going to take a lot out of him. Akbar gets in close and instigates a clinch. Boxer lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage. Boxer misses with a punch to the body.
Akbar jumps into guard, dragging Boxer to the mat.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Boxer trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Boxer stands over his opponent and dives in with a flying punch! Akbar throws up his legs and catches Boxer in a triangle! Oh this looks tight! Boxer tries to escape but he's forced to tap! Wow, fantastic work there by Akbar! That came out of nowhere!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:25 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). Hunter Akbar! After winning the bout, Hunter Akbar thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
