Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Gabriel Zagorno (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David Luiz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
20 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gabriel Zagorno! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
17 - 15 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, David Luiz! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, George Francis and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Luiz throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Zagorno sees it coming and avoids it easily. Luiz tries to clinch but Zagorno moves away and Zagorno counters with a left to the body. Luiz doesn't manage to clinch there - Zagorno circles away.
Zagorno throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Luiz stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Nice jab there from Zagorno. Luiz misses with a takedown attempt - Zagorno sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Luiz throws a looping overhand right but Zagorno ducks down to avoid it. Luiz tests Zagorno's chin there with a solid looking shot. Luiz instigates a clinch. Zagorno breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Luiz swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Zagorno takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Zagorno swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. David Luiz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Luiz moves into the clinch successfully.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Luiz looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Zagorno blocks an uppercut.
Luiz is trying to force a seperation but Zagorno has the dominant position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Luiz is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Zagorno pulls him back up using the underhooks. Luiz breaks from the clinch.
Zagorno jabs Luiz right on the nose. Luiz blinks but takes it well. Luiz getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Zagorno with a hook. Luiz fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Zagorno manages to avoid it. Zagorno loads up on a big right hand but Luiz slips the punch. Zagorno is looking to chop away at Luiz's legs. Zagorno defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Luiz. Gabriel Zagorno has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of David Luiz. Luiz looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Zagorno! It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Zagorno is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Luiz's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Zagorno actively working from the bottom here. Luiz looks to land a strike but Zagorno avoids it nicely and regains full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Luiz with a flurry of punches that miss. Zagorno escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Luiz gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Luiz advances to half guard. Zagorno is not content to let Luiz control the position. Zagorno looking for submissions off his back. Zagorno taking some punishment here, with Luiz in his half guard. Luiz not landing any meaningful shots this time.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Luiz seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Zagorno does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Luiz is nestled in close to Zagorno, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Zagorno actively working from the bottom here. Luiz working over Zagorno with some ground and pound. Zagorno looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Luiz performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Luiz is just content to waste time from the top position. Zagorno takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. Luiz got a little sloppy there for a moment and Zagorno has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Luiz has managed to get both his arms back between Zagorno's legs - danger averted.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Luiz working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Luiz stands and throws Zagorno's legs to the side, diving into side control. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Zagorno manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Luiz has found himself in a tricky position here. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Luiz won't allow Zagorno to pass to mount. Zagorno is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Luiz! Zagorno throwing strikes but Luiz uses the opportunity to regain half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
David Luiz dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Luiz closes the distance and clinches up with Zagorno, looking for a takedown. Luiz pushes Zagorno against the cage but Zagorno circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Zagorno scores with a jab to the body. Luiz on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Zagorno. Zagorno obviously looking to wear him down.
Luiz tries to clinch up. Luiz listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. Luiz thows a body shot but no joy. Luiz has his takedown stuffed and Zagorno connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Luiz rushes Zagorno and presses him up against the cage. Luiz is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Luiz drops down looking for an ankle pick but Zagorno pulls his leg out and moves away.
Gabriel Zagorno has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of David Luiz. Zagorno throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Luiz wants to clinch but Zagorno slips to the side and Zagorno counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. David Luiz is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Zagorno lands a glancing blow to the side of Luiz's head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Zagorno shoots in looking for a takedown. Luiz tries to sprawl out of it but Zagorno keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Luiz manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Luiz slips a straight right by Zagorno. Luiz tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Zagorno was well out of range. Poor timing from Luiz. Luiz tries to clinch there but Zagorno circles away.

Zagorno decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Zagorno trying to mount his opponent but Luiz defends it. Luiz is not content to let Zagorno control the position. Zagorno is looking for submissions but instead, Luiz has regained full guard.

The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Luiz with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Zagorno prevents Luiz from standing back up.
Zagorno is keen to just control but Luiz is a slippery customer. Luiz controlling the leg, holding on to half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Luiz manages to escape and get back to his feet! Luiz tries to clinch but Zagorno moves out of range. Luiz has a takedown stuffed. Luiz fails in his attempt to clinch. Zagorno fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Luiz on the side of the head. Zagorno darts in looking for a takedown but Luiz gets double underhooks and turns Zagorno into the cage. Zagorno throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Zagorno is looking to control Luiz's arms but Luiz gets an underhook and turns him. Now Zagorno has his back to the cage. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. A nice left hand lands by Luiz.

Gabriel Zagorno dominated that second round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Zagorno with a nice cross. Zagorno lands a nice shot that snaps Luiz's head back.
The fight stays on the outside here - Luiz looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Zagorno gets a double leg takedown into Luiz's guard. Zagorno slips nicely into half guard. Luiz is trying to get back to full guard. Luiz has hold of Zagorno's hands but Zagorno slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Luiz wants to control but Zagorno passes into side.
Luiz is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Zagorno asserts his dominance and retains side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Luiz is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Zagorno off and has taken his back! Luiz keeps control of the position as Zagorno tries to break free.
Luiz doesn't have the hooks in and Zagorno manages to turn into his guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Luiz keeping moving, preventing Zagorno from controlling successfully. Luiz pushes Zagorno off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there. Luiz fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Luiz drives through with a takedown into Zagorno's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Zagorno looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Zagorno has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Luiz can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Luiz controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Zagorno keeping moving, preventing Luiz from controlling successfully.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Luiz sitting in guard, not really doing much.
David Luiz has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Luiz tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Zagorno paws at him with a jab and circles away. Zagorno tests Luiz's chin there with a solid looking shot. Luiz looks to land a right hand but Zagorno moved out of range. Luiz lunges at Zagorno with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Zagorno's hand. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Luiz scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Zagorno trying to control from the bottom.

And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to David Luiz. I think Luiz has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
