Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Solomon Halo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mach II (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). II has chosen Ace of Spades as his entrance music. This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Solomon Halo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Mach II!
The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Bart Greer and Sandra Marshall.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Halo moves into range and clinches up with II.
II is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Halo is defending well.
Halo tries a knee to the head but II blocks it.
II fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
II fails to pull guard.
Halo tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
II gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.


It looks like Solomon Halo has been cut.
II doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Halo misses with a body punch.
Halo tries to land a knee to the head but II blocks with his arms.
II tries to pull guard but Halo holds him up against the ropes and eventually II drops back down to his feet.
Solomon Halo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mach II.
II misses with a punch on the inside.
Good body shot from Halo.

II jumps guard and drags Halo to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

II is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

II is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Halo defends well.

That's one minute gone in the round.
II is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

II working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Halo doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Halo manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Halo avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
II seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

II has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Halo doesn't defend quickly enough and II has managed to lock this one up! Can Halo escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to II on a fantastic submission victory.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Mach II!
Our winner, Mach II, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
