Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Max Stanley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aaron Yates (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stanley comes to the ring accompanied by Frotch Retirement Jam. Yates has chosen Here comes Tecca Nina - Tech N9ne as his entrance music. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Max Stanley! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Aaron Yates! The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Dirk Anderson and Sandra Marshall.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Yates swings widly with a right hand
and Stanley counters with a nice double leg into side control. Yates won't be happy with that. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Yates pushes Stanley away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Stanley gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Stanley is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Yates knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Stanley is trying to get an arm triangle but Yates is defending well. Stanley throwing shots but missing, from side control. Yates is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Stanley is controlling him well. Stanley tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Yates is looking to regain half guard here but Stanley keeps moving and retains side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Stanley working the strikes but Yates uses the opportunity to regain half guard. Yates looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Stanley prevents Yates from standing back up.
Stanley wants to work for an arm triangle but Yates is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Stanley stops Yates from getting back to his feet.
Stanley looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Stanley wants to free his trapped foot but Yates is holding on for dear life with his legs.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Yates tries to get to full guard but Stanley has control of the leg. Yates is trying to stand up here but Stanley is controlling him well. Yates is defending against the submission attempts here by Stanley.
Stanley throwing shots but Yates is blocking nicely. Stanley tries to pass to full mount but Yates defends it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Yates wants to get back to his feet.
Stanley is looking to take a break and control but Yates is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Stanley is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Yates looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Stanley seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Yates does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Stanley is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Stanley is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Yates has managed to free his arm - good work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Stanley prevents Yates from improving his position. Stanley is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Yates is just riding it out for now. Stanley eventually gives up the hold. Stanley trying to advance position but Yates counters by regaining guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Max Stanley dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the ring so we can get back down to business.
Yates ducks right into an uppercut from Stanley. Yates misses with a body punch
and Stanley counters with a low kick, right behind Yates 's knee. Stanley shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Yates but Yates pushes him off and we're back to square one. Stanley misses with a takedown and Yates counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Yates connects with a body shot. Yates connects with a body shot. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Yates rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Stanley moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Good shot there by Yates. Stanley closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Stanley takes a body punch but keeps moving. Yates throws the left hand but Stanley avoids the punch easily. Yates lands a lovely overhand right.
That's one minute gone in the round. Good standup being displayed there by Yates as he connects with a hook. Yates punishes Stanley's body with a nice straight punch. Yates scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Yates throws a good cross that connects.
Yates lands a glancing blow to the side of Stanley's head. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Yates throws a shot to the body.
Yates thuds a left hand into Stanley's body. Yates fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops Stanley to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! Stanley looks to clinch but Yates throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! Stanley taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:41 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). Aaron Yates! A pretty intense looking Aaron Yates took the opportunity post-fight to ask for a shot at the title. In defeat, Max Stanley stepped up to the mic, saying 'BLAHHH!'.
