5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Roger Baumgartner! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Baumgartner avoids the body shot from Diggs.
Diggs lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Baumgartner at a distance.
Baumgartner moves out of range of the strikes. Diggs fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Baumgartner manages to avoid it. Diggs throws out a loose jab but Baumgartner uses good head movement to avoid it. Baumgartner keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Diggs throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Diggs throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Baumgartner throws a jab but it's blocked by Diggs. Diggs blocks a jab. Diggs looks to score with a jab to the body but Baumgartner is just out of range. Diggs is looking to wear down Baumgartner with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Baumgartner gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Diggs.

and Baumgartner counters with a stiff right hand. Baumgartner fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Baumgartner manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Diggs on his heels. He'll look to pass Diggs's guard now, I'm sure. My spies in Victory Gym and Spa inform me that Baumgartner has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends! If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Diggs controlling the position. Baumgartner trying to control but Diggs is working from the bottom. Diggs is pulling down on Baumgartner's head. It's preventing any offense from Baumgartner, at least for the moment.

Diggs is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at The Lion's Den, so we'll see if he gets out of it. Diggs is refusing to be controlled, as Baumgartner sits in half guard. Baumgartner looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Alonzo Diggs dominated that round. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Baumgartner scores with a nice right hand.
Diggs throws a jab when Baumgartner was well out of range. Baumgartner tries for a takedown but Diggs sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Baumgartner decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Baumgartner is nestled in close to Diggs, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Baumgartner works his way into side control. Diggs is looking to get back to his feet here but Baumgartner is keeping cool and he's managed to take Diggs's back. Baumgartner throwing strikes from the back - he gets a warning from the referee for striking the back of the head but all these shots are hurting Diggs!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Diggs is keeping busy.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Alonzo Diggs wasn't doing enough on the ground. Diggs looks to score with a jab to the body but Baumgartner is just out of range. Baumgartner lands with a hook. Diggs tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Baumgartner swings and misses with a hook to the body.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Diggs thows a body shot but no joy. Nice uppercut lands for Diggs. That snapped Baumgartner's head back.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Diggs stuffs the takedown.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Alonzo Diggs. I think Diggs has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
