Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rashad Glover (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Beta Bagwell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Rashad Glover!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Beta Bagwell!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Steve Smith and Trevor Gratis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bagwell tries for a takedown but Glover circles away easily
and Glover counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Bagwell is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Bagwell shoots in for a double leg but Glover sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Glover shoots in and gets a takedown into Bagwell's guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Bagwell trying to control the position.

Glover got a little sloppy there for a moment and Bagwell has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Glover has managed to get both his arms back between Bagwell's legs - danger averted.
Glover wanted to stand there but Bagwell had control of the position.
Glover missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

Glover drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Bagwell manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Glover has Bagwell in his guard.
Glover really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Glover controls Bagwell momentarily but Bagwell frees himself.
Bagwell postures up in Glover's guard and throws a big left but Glover blocks it.
Glover is looking to sweep but instead, Bagwell has passed into half guard.

Glover is not content to let Bagwell control the position.

Bagwell thows a huge punch but Glover dodges it nicely.
Bagwell wants to take a breather but Glover is having none of it.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Beta Bagwell.
Glover shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Bagwell sprawls well. Bagwell wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Glover gets slowly back to his feet.

Bagwell darts in looking for a takedown but Glover gets double underhooks and turns Bagwell into the cage.
Rashad Glover has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Beta Bagwell.
Glover stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Bagwell is trying to break the clinch but Glover is controlling him.

Bagwell tries to score a body lock takedown but Glover shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Glover tries to work over Bagwell's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Rashad Glover will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Bagwell takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Glover fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

Bagwell breaks from the clinch.
Glover shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Bagwell looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Glover is fending him off so far but Bagwell persists. Nope, Glover circles away and we're back to standing.
Bagwell throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Bagwell closes the distance and clinches.
Glover is trying to stall.

Bagwell drops down looking for an ankle pick but Glover pulls his leg out and moves away.

Bagwell gets caught napping as Glover dives in and scores a takedown. Bagwell manages to retain guard.

Glover drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Bagwell dives on top into guard.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Glover is looking for a sweep. Bagwell is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Bagwell is looking to take a break and control but Glover is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Glover knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Bagwell on the ground.

Bagwell is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Glover defends it well.

Glover wants to control but Bagwell is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Bagwell moves into side control, avoiding a weak kimura attempt from Glover.
Bagwell misses with the ground and pound.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Bagwell works to advance to full mount. Glover defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
Bagwell can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Glover is looking to escape.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Beta Bagwell showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!


Glover shoots in looking for a takedown but Bagwell manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Glover's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Glover is looking to control Bagwell's arms but Bagwell gets an underhook and turns him. Now Glover has his back to the cage.
Maybe Glover would be better served going for some more strikes rather than trying to control so much.

Glover misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Bagwell tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Glover just stands there and leans against the cage.

Bagwell has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Glover avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Bagwell is looking to take this one to the mat.

Bagwell tries to circle away but Glover has him pinned against the cage.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Beta Bagwell.
I think Bagwell has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
