Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Eduardo Zapata (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nikolai Gogol (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nikolai Gogol has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Eduardo Zapata!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Nikolai Gogol!
The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jab, jab by Gogol - just one landing.
Zapata dives in for a single leg takedown but Gogol sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Gogol is pressed up against the cage. Zapata has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Gogol down to the mat. Gogol avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Gogol connects with a body shot that sends Zapata's belly button to the back.
Gogol feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Zapatas jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Zapata walks into a stiff left hand from Gogol.
Gogol fails to land with a series of punches.
Zapata takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Gogol lands a jab to the nose.
Zapata is rocked!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Gogol throws an overhand right that drops Zapata like a sack of potatoes! Gogol dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:34 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Nikolai Gogol!
