Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Fred Mcdaniel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marcin Held (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Fred Mcdaniel has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Held is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Mcdaniel's half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Well, if Held is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
It looks like Held might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Held is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Mcdaniel is just riding it out for now. Held eventually gives up the hold.

Held is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Mcdaniel doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Held.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Held thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Mcdaniel's head.

Marcin Held has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Mcdaniel shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Held counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Held with a flurry of punches that miss.
Held is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Held is pushing down on Mcdaniel's leg trying to pass to half guard. Mcdaniel is fighting to maintain full guard but Held has managed to sneak the leg through.

Mcdaniel makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Mcdaniel.
We've been informed that Held has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.

Held pushes down on Mcdaniel's leg and manages to get into half guard.

Held wants to pass the guard but Mcdaniel is defending well.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Mcdaniel decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Held is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Held escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Mcdaniel gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Held wants to sweep but no luck.

Held wants to improve his position but instead Mcdaniel has moved into half guard.

Held wants to control but Mcdaniel is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Held regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Mcdaniel.

Held is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Mcdaniel is aware though and is defending well.
Held pulls Mcdaniel in close to his closed guard and prevents Mcdaniel from doing any damage or advancing position.

Held working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Mcdaniel has passed into half guard!

Mcdaniel knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Held on the ground.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Marcin Held showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
Held shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Held was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Mcdaniel is trying to defend against the choke here but Held has an arm under his chin. This one might not last much longer. Held Tightens the hold and Mcdaniel taps out furiously! Held displays superior BJJ to win the fight.
