Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Calvin Bean (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jun Kasai (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Kasai's choice of entrance music: Nonpoint - Bullet with a name. Jun Kasai has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jun Kasai!
The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Shigeki Fujiwara and Yuuki Gou.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bean shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Kasai defends it nicely.

Kasai might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Bean haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Kasai stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Bean swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Bean will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Jun Kasai hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Jun Kasai was stalling too much, according to the referee.

and Kasai counters by moving into the clinch.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Kasai turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Kasai manages to end up in side control.

Kasai swings around for an armbar but Bean sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Kasai's guard.

Kasai scrambles and gets back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Bean makes his way to full guard, as Kasai worked for a kimura.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kasai is looking to pass into half guard but Bean pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Bean is in guard.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Kasai shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Bean manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Bean can't keep his opponent in guard - Kasai advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Kasai gets to his feet. Bean looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Kasai wants to lay and pray for a moment but Bean keeps working.
Bean has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Kasai is working away from the top position though.

Kasai drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Bean manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Kasai has Bean in his guard.

Bean stands up and waves to Kasai to follow him.

Kasai throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Bean was covering up waiting for the punch and Kasai finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Bean really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Kasai thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Bean's head.
Jun Kasai is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Kasai thows a huge punch but Bean dodges it nicely.
Bean is looking to control Kasai's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Bean avoid being mounted?
Kasai looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Bean with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Kasai throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Kasai has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Jun Kasai comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Kasai has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Jun Kasai decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
