Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Gumby Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ray Sims (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ray Sims struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 157.7lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Ray Sims is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice body punch from Jones.
Sims walks into a straight right hand from Jones.
A left and a right from Jones both land. Nice combination.
Sims looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Jones stuffs the takedown attempt from Sims. Sims gets slowly back to his feet.
Some wild striking there from Jones.
Jones is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Sims looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Sims looks gassed!
Jones looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Jones moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Jones manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Sims manages to get himself to full guard.
Jones decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Sims, up you get!
Jones throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.

Jones tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Jones prevents Sims from breaking the clinch.
Jones gets control of Sims's arms and successfully pulls guard. Jones will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Jones trying to keep a closed guard but Sims is proving a slippery customer.
Jones is looking for a triangle but Sims pushes his legs off easily.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jones is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Jones keeping moving, preventing Sims from controlling successfully.
Jones manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Jones is working for a guillotine from mount but Sims frees his head quite easily.
Sims trying desperately to get to his feet.

Jones landing strikes from the mount and Sims is in trouble!
Jones working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
Jones has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Sims's face.
Sims wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.
Jones is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Sims is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Sims flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Jones anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Sims and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Jones slips an arm under Sims chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Jones has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Jones is squeezing on Sims like an anaconda would it's prey. Sims fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:46 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Gumby Jones!
