Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Sparky Anderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Jerks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Anderson might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Blue clear sky. Sparky Anderson has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
20 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Sparky Anderson! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
11 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Mark Jerks! The judges for this bout are William Peck, Yves DeLean and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jerks has his takedown stuffed so Anderson counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Anderson scoring with punches to the head and body. Jerks working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Anderson doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Anderson manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Anderson sitting in guard, not really doing much. Anderson trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Anderson pushing down on Jerks's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Anderson tries to pass the half guard into mount. Jerks knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Anderson prevents Jerks from improving his position. Anderson throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Anderson is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Jerks is defending against the submission attempts here by Anderson.
Anderson is pressing down on Jerks's thigh, looking to free his foot. Jerks is holding on for now.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Anderson is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Anderson seems to be working for a kimura but Jerks defends the submission attempt. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Jerks won't allow Anderson to pass to mount. Anderson missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Anderson thows a huge punch but Jerks dodges it nicely.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jerks is defending against the submission attempts here by Anderson.
Anderson passes to full mount! Anderson moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Jerks has worked his arm free - good work by Jerks!
Anderson is working to tighten his grip on Jerks's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Jerks has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Anderson is really squeezing tight and eventually Jerks passes out! Anderson breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Sparky Anderson! Sparky Anderson retains his featherweight title! Sparky Anderson decided to call for a title shot in his post fight interview, which was very strange given the fact this fight was for a title and he's already the champion. I guess that's what getting punched in the head does for you.
