Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Craig David (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bobby Tate (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). David's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, The Who - Baba O'Riley. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 27 - 24 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Craig David!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Bobby Tate!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Alec Ball and Dillan Fox.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
David connects with a solid leg kick.

Tate closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. David quickly recovers to half guard.
David gets back to full guard.
David keeping moving, preventing Tate from controlling successfully.
Tate loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Tate accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Tate works over David with some ground and pound from guard.
David tries to land a sweep but no joy.

David has his foot on Tate's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Tate works his way back into a safe position though.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

David pulls Tate in close to his closed guard and prevents Tate from doing any damage or advancing position.
David is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Tate is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and David defends it well.
Tate winds up and cracks David with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
David is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Tate lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Tate thows a huge punch but David dodges it nicely.

Tate is trying to control. David wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Tate drops back looking for a leg! David is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and David manages to kick Tate off! Tate jumps back into David's guard.

Tate throws a strike but David rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Tate is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
David lands a couple of decent looking shots.

David avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

A close round but Bobby Tate will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

David wants to clinch up but Tate keeps it at a distance.
Tate shoots in and drives through. David sprawls well.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
David cracks Tate with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

David lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Craig David is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

David throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Tate on the side of the head.
Tate goes for a double leg but David avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the ropes as David continues to drive forward.
Craig David has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bobby Tate.
Tate is trying to work for a single leg takedown but David pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Tate is breathing heavily.
Tate jumps guard but David stands there with Tate around his waist. Tate gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Tate steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from David. That one must have hurt.

It looks like Bobby Tate has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
David wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
David is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Tate can do to turn this around?
Tate takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

David throws a head kick that Tate semi-blocks.

David lands a big head kick that sends Tate to the canvas! David follows up with strikes from the mount that forces the ref to step in and stop the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:40 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Craig David!
