Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Darell Dickerson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Araune Braddocki! The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Shigeki Sano and Hirohito Nitta.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Braddocki clinches. Braddocki fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Dickerson's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Braddocki goes for a takedown attempt but Dickerson pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Braddocki tests Dickerson's chin there with a solid looking shot. Braddocki pushes Dickerson up against the cage in a clinch. Braddocki fails to pull guard.
Darell Dickerson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Araune Braddocki. Dickerson wants to stall.
That's one minute gone in the round. The referee calls for Braddocki to work.
Dickerson goes for a takedown in the clinch but Braddocki prevents it.
Braddocki breaks from the clinch.
Braddocki pivots, looking for a leg kick but Dickerson is out of range and Braddocki settles back down. Braddocki tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Braddocki manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Dickerson on his heels. He'll look to pass Dickerson's guard now, I'm sure. Braddocki must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Braddocki has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Dickerson is proving hard to escape from. Dickerson has Braddocki pulled in close to control his posture.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Braddocki wants to stand but Dickerson is controlling his posture from full guard. Dickerson can't keep his opponent in guard - Braddocki advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Braddocki prevents Dickerson from improving his position. Dickerson slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. The fighters are working up against the cage. Dickerson manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Braddocki is looking to break free of the clinch but Dickerson has double underhooks.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Braddocki pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Braddocki takes the fight into the clinch. Braddocki tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Dickerson smiles and moves away.
Braddocki clinches up against the cage. Dickerson wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Braddocki slows down the pace here.
Braddocki tries to pull guard but Dickerson holds him up against the cage and eventually Braddocki drops back down to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Come on Dickerson - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Dickerson can't get the takedown.
Dickerson wants the takedown. Braddocki is fighting it off but Dickerson persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Braddocki's guard against the cage. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Dickerson accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Dickerson lands a couple of digs. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Araune Braddocki dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Dickerson tries to keep at a distance but Braddocki has taken the fight into the clinch. Braddocki jumps guard but Dickerson stands there with Braddocki around his waist. Braddocki gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. Dickerson stops a takedown attempt from Braddocki.
Braddocki is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Dickerson to keep the fight standing. Darell Dickerson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Araune Braddocki. Dickerson on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.

Braddocki wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Braddocki is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Dickerson gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Braddocki jumps guard but Dickerson stands there with Braddocki around his waist. Braddocki gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Dickerson manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Braddocki manages to get himself to full guard.
Dickerson stands up from Braddocki's guard - Dickerson perhaps looking for a knockout. Braddocki fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Dickerson, pushing him back against the cage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dickerson gets underhooks to prevent Braddocki's takedown attempt.
Braddocki breaks from the clinch.
Dickerson darts in and clinches Braddocki up against the cage. Dickerson taking a breather. Braddocki is looking to break free of the clinch but Dickerson has double underhooks. Dickerson has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Braddocki after a bit of a struggle. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Braddocki tries to break the clinch but Dickerson is controlling the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dickerson is looking to take this one to the mat. Braddocki breaks the clinch.
Dickerson shoots in for a takedown but Braddocki shows good takedown defense. Dickerson blocks a head kick by Braddocki.
Braddocki throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Braddocki gets a clinch. Braddocki is stalling here.
Dickerson breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Braddocki instigates a clinch. Braddocki jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Dickerson walks away with a smile on his face. Braddocki gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Braddocki darts in and clinches Dickerson up against the cage. Dickerson ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Dickerson no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Dickerson working for submissions but it's allowed Braddocki to get to half guard.
Dickerson pushes Braddocki off looking to stand but Braddocki dives back in and keeps control.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Braddocki lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Dickerson won't allow Braddocki to pass to mount. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Araune Braddocki will probably get the nod - 10:9. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!
Dickerson shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Araune Braddocki seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Braddocki moves into the clinch successfully.
Good anti-grappling being displayed by Dickerson as Braddocki tries to tie him up. Braddocki tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Dickerson avoids it. Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Braddocki. Dickerson goes for a takedown in the clinch but Braddocki prevents it.

Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Dickerson walks away with a smile on his face. Braddocki gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Braddocki misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Braddocki closes the distance and clinches. Braddocki has clasped his hands together around Dickerson's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. Dickerson is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Braddocki asserts his dominance and retains side control. Braddocki tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dickerson is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Braddocki trying to control the position but Dickerson is working away. Dickerson wants to control but Braddocki postures up. Dickerson is not content to let Braddocki control the position. Braddocki working away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dickerson is holding Braddocki down, trying to stall.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Braddocki has closed the distance and engaged Dickerson in a clinch.

Braddocki jumps guard and drags Dickerson to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Dickerson is looking to work some ground and pound but Braddocki has wrist control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Braddocki controls Dickerson momentarily but Dickerson frees himself. Braddocki lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Dickerson! Dickerson tries to get back to half guard but can't. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Dickerson is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Dickerson regains half guard. Braddocki decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
And that's the end of the fight! Araune Braddocki comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Braddocki winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
