Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Mick Ward!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Sandra Marshall and Michael Johnstone.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Hoitz looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Ward is fending him off so far but Hoitz persists. Nope, Ward circles away and we're back to standing.
Hoitz shoots in but Ward avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Ward leaves Hoitz with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Terry Hoitz. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Hoitz changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Ward looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Hoitz has hold of Ward's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Ward seems comfortable defending it but Hoitz has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Ward is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Ward is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Hoitz couldn't care less - he's delighted!
