Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Herkules Smasher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hang Ken (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Herkules Smasher!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Hang Ken!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Gwen Towbar and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ken changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Smasher tries to avoid it but Ken manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Smasher to the ground. Smasher escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Ken tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Ken tries to clinch up but Smasher circles away and keeps his distance.
Smasher has his takedown stuffed

and Ken counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Ken pushes down on Smasher's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Smasher is looking to improve his position.
Smasher gets back to full guard.

Smasher is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Ken preventing the sweep.

Ken pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Smasher is keeping the position for now.
Ken trying to control but Smasher is working from the bottom.

Smasher working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Ken doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Ken manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Smasher has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Ken can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Smasher is breathing heavily.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Ken fails with the takedown

and Smasher counters with a nice double leg into half guard.

Ken manages to get to full guard.
Ken throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
Ken wants to stand and escape but Smasher is having none of it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ken not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Smasher knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Ken on the ground.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Ken stuffs the takedown.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Ken.
Ken tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
Smasher is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Ken is looking to take a break and control but Smasher is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Smasher is not content to let Ken control the position.
Smasher is looking to regain half guard here but Ken keeps moving and retains side control.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Ken darts in trying to clinch

and Smasher counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Herkules Smasher dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Ken rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Smasher moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Ken shoots in and drives through. Smasher sprawls well.
Smasher with a poor takedown

and Ken counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.

Smasher looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Ken trying to control from half guard but Smasher is working away.

Smasher looking for submissions off his back.

Ken is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Smasher is just riding it out for now. Ken eventually gives up the hold.
Ken passes to full mount!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Ken can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Smasher is looking to escape.
Smasher keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Ken wants to take his opponent's back but he's not managed it.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Ken trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Ken is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Smasher looking to escape from mount but he's given up his back!
Smasher rolls, trying to escape but Ken keeps control of the position.

Ken is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged Smasher with him. Smasher is trying to defend but Ken has an arm under the chin now! Smasher grimaces and is forced to tap out!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:02 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Hang Ken!
