The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hammeren rushes Khan and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Khan shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Hammeren is trying to defend but Khan finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Khan fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Hammeren sprawls well initially but Khan persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Hammeren has Khan pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Hammeren pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Khan tumbling to the mat - Hammeren dives into Khan's guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Hammeren is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Hammeren isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Khan stacks Hammeren on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Khan!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
