Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Nick Briggs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pencil Neck (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Neck comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Welcome to the jungle kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Nick Briggs! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
24 - 30 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Pencil Neck! The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Wagner Zegers and Aafke Stam.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Briggs shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Neck is trying to defend but Briggs finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Briggs is trying to control. Neck wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Neck tries to roll over but Briggs keeps him under control. Briggs controlling the pace. Neck wants to improve his position but Briggs is controlling well.
Neck has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Briggs is working away from the top position though. Neck keeping control of the position.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Briggs clinches up against the cage. Briggs keeps control of Neck as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Neck is trying to push Briggs away but Briggs has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Neck pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Briggs shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Neck tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Briggs paws at him with a jab and circles away. Briggs closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Neck's guard. Neck is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Briggs is controlling him. Briggs looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Neck looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. That's two minutes gone in the round. Briggs trying to control but Neck is working from the bottom. Neck is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Neck moves out of range as Briggs strikes. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Neck throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Neck swats away the attempt to clinch by Briggs. Neck tries to clinch up and Briggs counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Neck! Neck wants to control but Briggs postures up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Neck is not content to let Briggs control the position. Neck is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Briggs is one step ahead and moves to full mount! Neck can't escape the position.
Neck tries to hold on but Briggs pushes him away. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Briggs trying to control but he's not successful this time. Neck really trying hard to get back to half guard here.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Neck wants to get back to full guard. Briggs drops an elbow to the side of Neck's head. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Briggs seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Neck does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Neck is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Nick Briggs will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Neck tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Briggs paws at him with a jab and circles away. Briggs keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Neck tries to clinch up but Briggs circles away and keeps his distance. Neck throws a head kick but Briggs moves out of range.
Briggs throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Neck's waist but Neck gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Briggs off to one side. Neck's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Neck duly obliges.
It looks like Nick Briggs has been cut. Neck scoring well with a low kick there.
Briggs tries to score a power double leg takedown but Neck sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Briggs somewhat. Nick Briggs is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Neck shoots in for a takedown but Briggs shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Neck shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Briggs as he jumps to the side. Nick Briggs has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Pencil Neck. Neck moves out of range as Briggs strikes. Briggs shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Neck but Neck pushes him off and we're back to square one. Neck lands a right hook to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round. Neck closes the distance and clinches. Neck lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Neck fails to pull guard.
Neck is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Briggs is keeping busy. Neck pulls guard. Briggs's corner is telling him to maintain position. Neck wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Briggs is now in half guard. Briggs throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Briggs is keen to just control but Neck is a slippery customer.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Briggs slows the pace down in half guard. Briggs is looking to advance position but Neck won't allow it. Briggs is thwarting Neck's attempts to control the position.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Neck shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Briggs drives through with a takedown into Neck's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Briggs seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Neck wants to stand but Briggs is controlling the position.

No luck for Neck with that takedown attempt. Briggs tries to clinch up and Neck makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Briggs really felt that one! Pencil Neck seems to be getting the better of the standup. Briggs dives in and grabs Neck's left leg, looking for a takedown. Neck pushes down on Briggs's head and hops out. Briggs moves out of range of the leg kick from Neck. Neck fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Briggs, pushing him back against the cage. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Briggs stops a takedown attempt from Neck.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Briggs has picked Neck up - he's going for a ride! Briggs dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard. Briggs missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Neck gets full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Pencil Neck will probably get the nod - 10:9. The cut man is working on Nick Briggs's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Neck escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Neck shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Briggs defends it nicely. Neck shoots in but no luck this time. Nick Briggs has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Pencil Neck. Briggs moves into the clinch successfully.

That's one minute gone in the round. Briggs shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Neck pinned against the cage. Neck gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Briggs looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Neck! Briggs working the ground and pound from side control. Briggs taking a breather here. Neck is trying to control Briggs's posture but Briggs avoids it. Briggs is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Neck is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Briggs trying to control the action but Neck is working from the bottom.

You can see the frustration on Neck's face as Briggs controls the position. Neck tries to get back to half guard but can't. Briggs tries to move into full mount but can't pass Neck's legs. Neck sneaks back into half guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Neck is refusing to be controlled, as Briggs sits in half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Neck looking for submissions off his back. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Briggs in particular looking to stall. Neck is trying to get back to full guard. Briggs seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Neck is trying to stand.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neck tries to get to full guard but Briggs has control of the leg. Neck is still trying to improve position. Briggs is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Briggs wants to free his trapped foot but Neck is holding on for dear life with his legs.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Nick Briggs. Briggs fails with a takedown attempt. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Neck fails with an attempt to clinch.
Briggs shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Neck sprawls well. Neck wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Briggs gets slowly back to his feet. Neck stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Neck wants it to stay on the feet.
And that's the end of the fight! Nick Briggs showed his dominance in that final round. I think Briggs has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
