Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tim Salva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rob Green (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Green is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Era - Enea Vollare Mezzo. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Salva shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Salva distracts Green with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Green holds on and takes a little breather. Green manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Salva manages to get himself to full guard.
Salva tries to land a sweep but no joy. Green controls from within his opponent's guard. Salva controls Green momentarily but Green frees himself. Salva wants to control but Green passes easily into half guard.
Salva wants to control but Green is keeping busy and won't allow it. Green is controlling the pace.
That's one minute gone in the round. Salva trying to control but Green postures up.
Green sitting and controlling from the half guard. Green trying to control the action but Salva is working from the bottom. Salva has one foot on Green's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Green gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Salva counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Green is trying to control but can't.
Salva wants to stand but Green has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now. Salva is working for a kimura but Green is defending it quite comfortably.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Salva pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Green is keeping the position for now. Green wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Green keeping full guard, as Salva tries to pass.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Salva has his takedown stuffed and Green counters with a nice double leg into guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Salva is breathing heavily. Green is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Green throws a big right hand that misses.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Green stopping the sweep attempt from Salva. Salva looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Salva is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Green passes Salva's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Green wants to work for an arm triangle but Salva is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Salva has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Green is working away from the top position though. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Tim Salva will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Salva closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Salva lands in his opponent's guard. Green managing to control the position. Green keeping moving, preventing Salva from controlling successfully. Green is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Salva sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Green's guard. Green regains full guard. Nicely done. Green is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Salva throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Green throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Salva might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Salva wants to control from the top but Green keeps moving.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Green is looking for a triangle but Salva pushes his legs off easily.
Salva gets to his feet. Green looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Salva wants to clinch and Green counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Green. Salva with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Salva is trying to maintain a safe position but Green gets an underhook and turns Salva into the cage. Salva breaks from the clinch.
Salva scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Salva working the ground and pound but Green is defending the strikes. Tim Salva overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Salva looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Salva wants to stand but Green has his arm trapped. Salva wants to control but Green is keeping him busy. Green can't do much from the bottom here. Salva throws a strike aimed at the side of Green's head but Green avoids it well. Salva slows the pace down.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Salva shoots in for a takedown but Green shows good takedown defense. Green has his takedown stuffed and Salva counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Salva. Salva could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Green avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Green controls Salva momentarily but Salva frees himself. Salva gets to his feet. Green looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Salva tries to clinch but Green is having none of it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tim Salva dominated that second round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
