Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gerard Gilliam (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mast Urbation (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Trevor Gratis and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Urbation swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Gilliam counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Urbation pushes Gilliam off looking to stand but Gilliam dives back in and keeps control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Urbation will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Urbation has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
